I was in boarding school before. So in the evening we were expected to be down on the field for physical activities. We could do whatever we want, whether its sports, jogging, or just hanging out taking a stroll as long we were not in our dormitory.
Well, i chose to play soccer. It's not a surprise since its the most popular sport on the planet.
But my problem was, i was playing or specifically kicking in my sneakers without socks. So in long term, it could break my toenails and it did.
This break from toenal can the cause of infection entry point. The humidity the from sweat in the sport shoe makes it the perfect place for fungus to thrive.
Long story short, my toenail became thicker, yellowish, and started to have smell. Sometime i felt embarrassed to wear flip flop or sandals.
Tried Listerine soak, not to say it didnt work, but it took time to see desirable effects.
The thing with toenail fungus is the infection is deep, and difficult for topical treatment to penetrate through. Thats why if u go to the doctor, the doctor might suggest antifungal cream together with oral medication.

Another thing to be mindful is that toenail fungus can be recurrent. So once it heals, you better take care of your foot thoroughly, because u would not want to repeat the treatment cycle again.
But in case it did happen, one of the quick fix is that you could pee on your toenail. Yes, it sounds gross, but your urine actually contains antifungal property. Do it as much as you can. It does work.
Thank you for reading. Hope it helps.
